Improving the lives of greyhounds, lurchers & mixed hounds one dog at a time

Dog of the Month
Timex is a 4 or 5 year hound from down south. He is a fun dog who does funny things and her really likes people. He really needs a space to run and a fenced yard would be best with a family that is around a lot. (508) 435-5969

Please consider a donation today!

Greyhound Friends is getting ready for winter. Thanks to a bequest last year we have a generator in case the power goes out. GHFs' adoption kennel is well built and the dogs are comfortable and safe. When the weather is really bad staff members stay at the kennel.  This is always an adventure.
Our efforts caring for these dogs is costly. Please make a donation to Greyhound Friends The dogs need all possible help and
we would be glad to send you a tax receipt.

This photo is from an adopter in Western Massachusetts who trains horses for the Olympics. It is a reassuring image. The animals are going into a safe place. Our adoption kennel is such a place and we value and thank you for all your support.

Best Wishes, Louise Coleman

$5,000 MATCHING DONATION CHALLENGE
One of Greyhound Friends’ generous supporters has issued a $5,000 matching donation challenge targeted for surgery supplies and will match donations up to $5,000.
Greyhound Friends is able to save a great deal of money by doing in-house neuters, spays, dentals, and other routine surgical procedures. We are lucky to have to proficient, committed part time vets who come to the kennel and use the small surgery we have here. It is great to not have to take the dogs out into the weather to go to outside vets and substantially less expensive. Donating to buy the surgical supplies is a really effective way to directly help the dogs.
Please help us by donating at www.greyhound.org and noting surgical supplies. Your donation will be doubled through this challenge and if your employer matches your charitable donations, it will be tripled! Below is a list of supplies that your donation will help us to purchase. As always, thank you for your generosity.

Promotional trailer for Ireland film coming out in February
Meet Cheerio!
She is a beautiful 8 year old brindle girl. She was surrendered to the shelter because she has epilepsy. The good news is that we are hopeful that the medication is working because she hasn't had a seizure in 6 months. She is quite a lively, young 8 year old. Likes to meet people and seems fine with other dogs.
Once you meet her you just might fall in love with her.  She just might be your perfect valentine!
