Maggie

Maggie is a yellow-lab mix and has come all the way from Bosnia. Some loving people found her in a dumpster and saw a great deal of potential in her and sent her here to find a wonderful forever home.

She is a very bright girl and has been working extensively with a trainer and has learned basic commands such as sit, paw, stay and down. Maggie seems to have some mistrust when it comes to men and has been working with several of our male volunteers to overcome that.

She would need to be the only dog in your home. If you are interested in Maggie, it would be best if you could come to the shelter to meet her a few times so that she gets to know you.

If you live within a 30 minute drive, our trainer has offered to come to your home to show you what Maggie has learned so you can continue with her training.

Chester (adopted through the APCSA Brockton)

Chester is a gorgeous four-year-old Bluetick Coonhound mix who's looking for a home. This happy, calm boy likes other dogs and does well with older children.

Like many of us who've hit middle age, he has some night blindness, which causes him to feel a little insecure if he isn't familiar with his environment. We're seeking that special someone who can give Chester consistency, regular exercise, and plenty of love. He's sure to bring you much joy in return!

Beanie

Beanie is a happy and quite clever 5 yr old Boxer/Sheperd Mix.

She loves to be around people and just "lights" up when you give her some attention. She enjoys taking walks, playing with balls and really loves to collect her toys and stockpile them in her bed. However, this endearing characteristic can lead her to be a bit of a resource guarder. Beanie has been working with a trainer that has taught her the commands "take" and "drop". These commands are helping Beanie to learn that it is okay to share her toys.

To meet Beanie is to love her. She really likes to be the center of attention and "the apple of your eye" therefore, she would need to be the only pet in your home. She would be better in a home with older children.

If you live within a 30 minute drive, our trainer has offered to come to your home to show you what Beanie has learned so you can continue with her training.

Marcus

Marcus is a tri color hound that is about 2 years old. He is very calm but playful with other dogs. Marcus is always looking for love from humans too. He loves being outside and going on brisk walks! Come in to meet this sweetie!

Melvin ADOPTED!

Melvin is a tri color hound that is about 2 years old. Melvin is very kiss and friendly. He likes to give "hugs" and lean up on his visitors! Melvin is energetic and playful. He would do great with other dogs!

Honey

Honey is a happy little girl that is about 6 years old. She traveled all the way from Ohio to find her forever home! She is always wagging her tail and looking for love. Honey is very friendly with humans and dogs! This sweet girl would love a place to lounge and relax for the rest of her life.

Cookie

Meet Cookie! This stunning little man is a 5 year old beagle mix that came to us from Ohio. He is a very friendly, curious fellow. Cookie loves being the center of attention. When he is outside he is torn between following his nose and looking for love.

Sherlock (transfered to Scituate Animal Shelter)

This funny little guy is Sherlock! He is a 5 year old basset hound mix from Ohio. He is such a happy, friendly dog. Sherlock is very curious and smart. He loves running around and being silly. He would need an attentive owner to love him.

Lucille is a young hound who has been spayed and has all her shots. She likes to play with other hounds and is energetic. She would do best with a playmate, an adopter who can give her attention, and a fenced yard.

Pearl is a a 6yr old from Florida who will make a great pet an gets along with other dogs that are her own size.

He is 2 years old American Fox Hound from Florida. He is beautiful, intelligent, and responds well to instruction. He would well with a harness. He seems interested in being a house dog; loves his blankets. Responds well to attention from people.

Is 1 years old from North Carolina. He is very sweet, energetic but not overwhelming and loves attention from people and other dogs. Great all around hound who comes from an extremely deprived background but is recovering nicely.

She is a 2 years old American pit-bull mix. She is friendly, sweet good natured and lively. She needs less walking skills but is ready to learn. She is not aggressive just silly.
